Bus information

Connecting students across Melbourne

Route Bus Eligibility

Standard eligibility for use of Haileybury’s route buses is Middle School and Senior School only (Years 5 to 12).

Junior School students in Years 3 and 4 may be allowed to use Haileybury route bus services where they are supervised by an older sibling. This must be approved in writing by the Head of Campus and will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Students in ELC to Year 2 are not permitted to ride Haileybury route buses.

Route Bus Services

Haileybury’s bus routes are a combination of services delivered in conjunction with Public Transport Victoria (PTV) and services which are contracted privately by the School. All Haileybury bus routes are currently delivered under contract by Ventura Bus Company.

Haileybury has route buses servicing the Keysborough and Berwick campuses only.

Types of Bus Passes

Due to funding arrangements, there are two different bus pass requirements depending on whether a student travels on a Haileybury/PTV route or Haileybury private route.

Haileybury Bus Pass

All students travelling on Haileybury route buses must purchase a Haileybury bus pass. Haileybury bus passes are priced differently depending on whether the student travels on a Haileybury/PTV route or a Haileybury private route.

When a Haileybury bus pass is purchased, it is linked to the student account and registered to the student ID card. The student ID card is used to tap on and off the bus.
