Celebrating Sport

Throughout Term 3 at Haileybury Pangea we have celebrated all things sport, from the Olympics to the achievements of our young athletes.

Students have heard from special guest speakers including Old Haileyburians Josie Lawton (hockey) and Craig Mottram (long distance running). The advice they shared about how to balance their commitments and maintain motivation through challenges resonated with and inspired students.

This term was also a significant one for many of our student athletes, particularly those involved in snow sports, many of whom competed at the Interschools championships at Mt Buller. Haileybury’s Head of Digital and Pangea teacher Michelle Dennis joined students on the mountain to represent Haileybury Pangea at a special pop-up cafe over the competition weekend.

To round out the term, Haileybury Pangea hosted a webinar for young athletes and their families about how to manage the challenges of balancing sport and study, featuring guest speaker Bernadette Siewrakowski of the VIS, and Haileybury Pangea students Cooper and Remi .
