Celebrating our amazing Year 12 Class of 2024
It has been a highlight to the year to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the Year 12 class of 2024. This year we graduated 56 students from Haileybury Rendall School — our largest cohort ever (and they all tell me the best ever!).
The photo below shows them at the DoubleTree Hilton, Darwin for their final official get together with family, friends and staff. This special event was held on Saturday, 23 October. It included eloquent speeches and toasts from the students, several well-spoken staff moments, videos, awards and the Old Haileybury Association (OHA) gift bag complete with OHA Yeti.
Within the group of students were 15 Indigenous young men and women which is 27% of the year group. A great testimony to student resilience, talent and perseverance and to the school’s claim that we are a Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Education.
We graduated 13 boarders and several of the remote students had been here since Year 7. Included in this group were our first ever international boarders — two from China and one from Vietnam.
10 of the group had been here since Primary School days with Kormilda and have seen a huge amount of progress and change since they began, whilst 26 of the Class of 2024 joined us in Year 7.
We wish our Year 12s well for the journey ahead, and we know they go into the world beyond School ready to be amazing.
