Haileybury’s class of 2024 have accomplished another set of impressive and well-deserved VCE results.
For six Haileybury students, their hard work and determination earned them a perfect ATAR of 99.95 – the highest possible Australian Tertiary Admissions Ranking (ATAR) score. This is one of the highest number of students to achieve 99.95 in Haileybury’s history.

Adding to this success, 10% of students have attained an ATAR of 99 and above, placing them in the top 1% of students in Australia, while 36% of students attained an ATAR of 95 and above. This places them in the top 5% of students in the country.
More than half (52%) of Haileybury students achieved an ATAR of 90 and above, which places them in the top 10% of students in Australia —54% of Haileybury Girls College students and 50% of Haileybury College students received an ATAR of 90 or above.
We are also delighted that 33 students received a maximum Study Score of 50 across 12 subjects. Those students have excelled in subjects ranging from English, Legal Studies, Mathematical Methods and Psychology to Specialist Mathematics, Accounting, Sociology and Australian History.
This year, the combined median ATAR for Haileybury was 91.
Setting another Haileybury record, this year’s VCE graduates also included nine sets of twins.

Derek also praised the expertise, commitment and efforts of Haileybury teachers and staff who supported the Year 12 students through the complexities and challenges of VCE.

He also acknowledged the Haileybury families and the strong partnership between students, parents, guardians and the school.
