Mrs Furusho returned to Haileybury as Deputy Principal Student Wellbeing in 2021. She spent the past five years at Toorak College as Deputy Principal and Head of Senior School. Prior to this Mrs Furusho was the Head of Languages from 2004 – 2012 and Director of Pre-Senior 2012 – 2016 at Haileybury.
Mrs Furusho's strengths are her ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and staff and through collaboration bring about positive change. Her underlying philosophy about education is that academic and personal growth go hand in hand. She is extremely passionate about ensuring that a student’s journey through school equips them with resilience, empathy and kindness. Her wish is for each student to find their dream and to know that through hard work, never giving up that anything is possible.
