General: Ms Kidd has over 25 years of experience in Property, and Asset Management experience in the fund’s management arena. Ms Kidd is currently Director, Asset Management at Salta Properties.
Academic: Ms Kidd has a Bachelor of Business Property majoring in valuations, completed at RMIT. She also holds a full Real Estate Agents licence for Victoria, South Australia and NSW.
Career and professional activities: Across her career, Melissa has held senior leadership positions at Chesterton International, Knight Frank Australia, Dexus Property Group and AMP Capital. Most recently she has held the position as Head of Asset Management at ARA/ESR Australia and is currently Director, Asset Management at Salta Properties. She has predominantly worked nationally on commercial office buildings in CBD, fringe and suburban locations. Melissa has strong experience dealing with a range of tenants including both federal and state government, semi-government departments, education and major corporate occupiers. She also works across a diverse range of property functions including workplace strategy, building repositioning, capital expenditure planning and delivery, leasing and valuations. At Salta Properties she is a member of the Salta Senior Leadership team, and she leads the Facilities Management, Asset Management and Space Real Estate portfolios for Salta Properties, providing strategic leadership in the planning, development, maintenance and operations of Salta owned and Joint Venture assets.
Board experience: Ms Kidd was Chair of the Property Council of Australia (Vic Division) Property Committee for eight years. She was appointed to the Property Council Victoria Division Council in 2016 and served for six years.
Connection to Haileybury: Ms Kidd’s son attended Haileybury and completed Year 12 in 2021. She also has a daughter studying Year 9 at the Haileybury Edrington Campus.
Values: Ms Kidd is passionate about driving healthy change in the workplace and creating places that enrich, excite and energise people and communities. She is a firm believer in the value of ESG strategies and initiatives having seen the benefits to customers and broader communities.
