General: Mr Silberer is a committed change maker and mentor who has demonstrated his thoughtful and focused approach to many roles spanning law firms and corporations for more than a decade. Throughout his career, Mr Silberer has demonstrated a keen eye for innovation, lending his hand to tech giants Telstra, Amazon and most recently, Salesforce.
Academic: Mr Silberer holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce, from Monash University.
Career and professional activities: Mr Silberer commenced his legal career at Minter Ellison. During his tenure, he volunteered as a mentor for the Minter Ellison Horizons program at John Fawkner Secondary College and provided pro bono legal services to the Homeless Persons Legal Clinic.
Upon leaving Minter Ellison, Mr Silberer joined the Federal Court of Australia, serving as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Jessup. Subsequently, he accepted a position at Telstra as in-house legal counsel. His expertise and dedication led to his recruitment by Amazon, where he served as a corporate counsel at the company’s headquarters in Seattle and later in Washington D.C.
Mr Silberer has since returned to Melbourne and currently holds the position of Director, Senior Corporate Counsel at Salesforce.
In addition to his legal career, Mr Silberer spent several months in 2015 teaching English at an orphanage in Cambodia during a sabbatical from his legal profession.
Connection to Haileybury: Mr Silberer is a former Haileybury student and was Captain of Dickinson House.
